2003
The Clarus product line complies with standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Organic Program and American Association of Plant Food Control Officials.
2004
Daylay, currently Daybreak Foods based in Lake Mills WI, grants Nutrients PLUS exclusive marketing rights to Nature Pure®, a unique process for the conversion of poultry manure into fertilizer. Nutrients PLUS Fertilizer (4-4-2 with 9% Ca) Made From The Nature Pure® Process is part of a Million Bird Model Nutrients PLUS developed to solve the nutrient issue facing the Poultry Egg Layer 300MM-bird Industry.
2008-2010
A long term study conducted by an accredited research institution establishes the scientific data permitting Nutrients PLUS to claim the Clarus brand as an Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer, an official regulatory term with criteria that requires a fertilizer to possess properties that reduce the loss of nutrients into the environment, increase nutrient availability for uptake by plants and data to support those claims.
2012
Under a study agreement with an industry leader in biosolids processing, Nutrients PLUS specified standards for their waste nutrients and working cooperatively, they demonstrated Nutrients PLUS standard levels could be achieved which had been previously thought not to be possible, administratively and economically. This left an indelible legacy for sourcing recovered nutrients from this waste stream.
2015
In March, Encina Wastewater Authority (EWA), a public agency based in Carlsbad CA, announces a unique public-private joint venture that elevates the standards and safety requirements for treating and using biosolids as fertilizer. EWA has been developing and producing a nationally recognized Class A Exceptional Quality fertilizer for over 9 years.
2015
In August, the EWA partnership forges a path for future public – private partnerships in the treatment and reuse of nutrients recovered from waste. Encina grants exclusive marketing rights to Pure Green®. Nutrients PLUS Fertilizer (5-4-0 with 1% Fe) Made From The Pure Green® Process is part of a Population Based Model Nutrients PLUS developed to solve a nutrient problem facing Water Treatment Utilities.
